Hello Frontenac!
In honour of our 20th anniversary milestone, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Frontenac Business Services 20th Anniversary – Futures Grant! This initiative is designed to support entrepreneurs and organizations in our community who are dedicated to driving economic development.
Here are the key details:
Eligibility: Applicants must be registered as a business, Municipality, or Not-for-Profit organization within Frontenac County, aligning with our focus on community growth and development.
Grant Amount: Eligible entities may apply for financial contributions of up to $5,000. Alternatively, the entire $20,000 fund can be allocated to a single economic development project with a larger impact. *Project expenditures become eligible after July 1st, 2024.
Focus Areas: The grant supports projects in event organization, expanding existing initiatives, developing recreational and cultural activities, creating tourism products, and more.
How to Apply: Interested parties should submit a 90-second pitch video via email to info@frontenacbusiness.ca by April 1st 2024. For guidance on sending large files, refer to this tutorial on using WeTransfer: WeTransfer How-To
Winners will be announced at the Frontenac Business Services Annual Meeting in June 2024.

90 Seconds to Shine: Pitch Video Guide
Introduction (15 seconds):
- Briefly introduce yourself and what business or organization you represent.
- State the project title and purpose of your project or initiative.
Problem Statement (15 seconds):
- Clearly articulate the problem or challenge your project aims to address.
- Highlight the significance and impact of the issue within the community.
Solution (25 seconds):
- Concisely explain your proposed solution or project.
- Highlight how the solution is innovative or unique.
- Address how the project will contribute to community development and economic growth
- Quantify the expected benefits, such as job creation, improved infrastructure, or increased local business activity.
Execution Plan (35 seconds):
- Outline a brief plan of action, including key milestones and timelines.
- Mention any partnerships, collaborations, or community involvement in the execution.
- Provide a high-level overview of the budget including:
- Your requested grant amount
- Partnership Contributions:
- Are there any contributions or matching funds from partners, collaborators, or the community?
- Timeline of expenditure.
